Caffeine-Free Herbal Tea — Nurturing the Mind and Body
A Cozy Caffeine-Free Herbal Tea Inspired by Traditional TCM
This “coffee” isn’t actually coffee — it’s a naturally sweet, caffeine-free herbal tea inspired by traditional Chinese medicine food and herbal traditions.
Made with Astragalus (Huang Qi), Goji Berries (Gou Qi Zi), Red Jujube Dates (Da Zao), and Dried Longan (Long Yan Rou), this blend has a smooth, gently sweet, and comforting flavor. It is a lovely option for those who enjoy warm herbal drinks as part of a seasonal wellness routine.
In traditional TCM theory, this combination is often appreciated for its focus on supporting Qi, nourishing Blood, and gently comforting the Heart and Spleen systems. The taste is naturally mellow from the red dates, goji berries, and longan, while Astragalus adds an earthy, grounding quality.

Traditional TCM Perspective
Astragalus / Huang Qi
In traditional TCM, Huang Qi is commonly used to tonify Qi and support the Spleen and Lung systems. It is often included in formulas where Qi support is the traditional focus.
Goji Berries / Gou Qi Zi
Gou Qi Zi is traditionally associated with nourishing the Liver and Kidney systems and is also valued in Chinese food therapy for its naturally sweet flavor.
Red Jujube Dates / Da Zao
Da Zao is traditionally used to support the Spleen and Stomach, nourish Blood, and harmonize herbal combinations. It also adds natural sweetness and body to the tea.
Dried Longan / Long Yan Rou
Long Yan Rou is traditionally associated with nourishing the Heart and Spleen and supporting Blood in TCM theory. It gives the tea a rich, round sweetness.
Together, these ingredients create a warm, gentle, and naturally sweet herbal drink rooted in traditional Chinese food therapy.
