Product Overview

White Ginseng (Ren Shen) is a time-honored botanical deeply rooted in East Asian herbal and culinary traditions.

Our sliced white ginseng is made from five-year-old roots and is naturally sun-dried, giving it a lighter, balanced profile compared to fully steamed Red Ginseng.

Each slice carries a mild sweetness and gentle earthy aroma, making it a classic ingredient for traditional teas, decoctions, broths, and everyday herbal blends.

Carefully processed and thinly cut, these slices offer convenience while preserving the root’s traditional character.

How to Use

Tea & Decoction

Simmer 3–5 slices in water for 20–30 minutes. Commonly paired with botanicals such as goji berry or jujube in traditional infusion recipes.

Soups & Tonics

Add several slices to slow-simmered chicken broth, bone broth, or herbal soups to introduce a warm, traditional flavor.

Culinary & Traditional Blends

May be combined with red dates, goji berries, or ginger in classic household herbal preparations.

Intended Use & Preparation

Not for direct consumption in dry form.

To be prepared and consumed as tea, decoction, or soup.

Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 15 minutes for traditional decoctions, or steep in hot water for an extended period when used as tea.

Traditional Context (TCM Framework)

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ren Shen is described as sweet and slightly warm in nature and traditionally associated with the Spleen and Lung channels.

White Ginseng is widely referenced in classical East Asian herbal culture and is often included in long-simmered tonics, seasonal soups, and nourishing home-style brews.

Compared to Red Ginseng, its lighter character makes it a traditional choice for everyday herbal cooking and balanced formulations.
