Product Overview

Schisandra Fruit, known as Wu Wei Zi, is a time-honored botanical widely featured in traditional East Asian herbal culture.

Often called the “Five-Flavor Fruit,” it is appreciated for its uniquely complex taste profile and its long history of use in classic teas, tonics, and traditional decoctions.

Our Organic Grade Schisandra is cultivated without pesticides or sulfites and is carefully sun-dried to preserve its aroma, natural oils, and traditional characteristics.

It is suitable for herbal teas, traditional preparations, or use in homemade blends.

How to Use

  • Tea & Decoction

Simmer 3–6 g in 400–500 ml of water for 15–25 minutes.

For a traditional tonic blend, pair with Gou Qi Zi (Goji Berry), Mai Men Dong, or Ren Shen (Ginseng).

  • Culinary & Traditional Blends

Add to homemade herbal teas or blend with other botanicals.

Can also be infused into honey or traditional beverages for aromatic depth.

Traditional Context (TCM Framework)

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Wu Wei Zi is described as sour and sweet with a warm nature.

It is associated with the Lung, Heart, and Kidney channels in classical theory.

Schisandra is widely referenced in herbal texts and frequently appears in traditional decoctions, seasonal tonics, and heritage wellness recipes across East Asian practice.
